Parquet Gluing

There are two ways of positioning of glued parquet. We can put it into strips or glue with a continuous layer. The tail can also distribute in two ways: by applying parallel strips of tail along the slats or forming a continuous layer of glue all over the floor. In a parquet gluing strips dealt is the tail in strips in the place where we will place the wood slat. We can apply this system when the slats of wood have a suitable size. Glue strips are placed on the floor perpendicularly to parquet Strip, leaving a gap between each strip.

We put the parquet Strip and pressed to get a proper adhesion. We should wait a couple of days so that the glue is dry. We have to prevent the parquet right up against the wall. We leave a slack perimeter of about 10 mm between parquet flooring and the wall to allow for expansion and contraction of the wood caused by changes in temperature or humidity. Subsequently we uppercase this space with the socket.

Wooden wedges are used for this purpose. It is important to maintain this separation, since the parquet with the passage of time and by action of factors such as humidity can reach resized, which can cause the parquet will distort if you don’t have this little space for expansion. In a continuous gluing with a serrated spatula we spread a uniform layer of glue all over the floor. We must respect the queue type recommended by the manufacturer of the parquet and its proper dosage. In this way we make sure that all parts are securely fastened. This type of glue is used for parquet floors formed by mosaics or small tablets. If we consider it necessary can place a layer of acoustic insulation on the floor prior to installation of the flooring. In the market there are designed precisely to place under the parquet acoustic insulation plates, including channels on which to apply the queue. We must make sure that the insulation is perfectly glued, dried and fixed to the floor before proceeding. For this you must wait two or three days to make sure that the tail of the insulating layer has dried before placing the parquet on the surface. Parquet installation we will have to take into account distribution of floor and, above all, the distribution of the Windows. The parquet slats must place in the direction of the light. If there is no natural lighting in the floor, or when we have multiple Windows on various walls, we began by placing the first strip attached to the largest wall. The glued parquet is thick so it is parquet polishers can lower it several times, depending on the thickness of the planks.
